Ingredients for Chicken Tikka Calzone

  • 2 tbsp fast acting yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 400g Elephant Atta Chakki Gold
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cup of warm water
  • Tikka:
  • 100g chicken breast 2 tbsp tikka paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 1tsp salt 12 paprika, cumin
  • 1 tsp mint sauce Cheese and other pizza toppings Marinara sauce:
  • 1 tinned tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic

Method to make Chicken Tikka Calzone

01. In 1 cup warm water add the sugar and dissolve.

02. Add the yeast and leave to foam (5 mins).

03. In a separate bowl add the flour, salt and oil.

04. Then add the frothy yeast water and mix.

05. Slowly add the reserved water and knead until the sticky texture is pliable and soft.

06. Then cover and leave to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

07. It will have doubled in size. Knock the air out of it and knead again.

08. Separate into 5 parts and roll the dough into flat pizza base.

09. Spoon marinara sauce and cover the surface leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

10. On one half of circle put your toppings and top with cheese.

11. Fold the empty side over coving the toppings and twist edges until it closes neatly.

12. Bake in oven for 25-30 mins on 160.
