We know Christmas is a time of year for heart-warming family reunions that are long overdue, and the one thing on every mother’s mind is what to cook for Christmas dinner! Traditionally, this would feature a roast turkey, potatoes, stuffing and vegetables. This year, let us inspire you with a twist on traditional Christmas dishes with our ideas for a festive South Asian feast.

The magical thing about Christmas day is that everyone can join in and gets involved with the cooking. What better way to spend the day than rolling chapattis with the kids, sharing great food and creating lasting memories, because after all, isn’t that what Christmas is really all about?

You could make Christmas themed chapatti bites with the children like those in the pictures. You could have them for a snack or appetisers with a dip. To make it even simpler, we've created some stencils for you. Download here.

I always use Elephant atta as my family prefer the fresh taste and texture when making rotis.
