This mutton curry recipe has been shared by one of our contributors, and we like it because it is so traditional and simple, yet so tasty. You can cook this in a pan, a pressure cooker or even a slow cooker. It goes really well with Lachha parathas or tandoori rotis.






Ingredients
- 900 g mutton, beef or lamb
- 1 large chopped onion
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder or 2 finely chopped green chillies
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Method
01 Cut the meat into small pieces and remove all visible fat, then wash and place in a pan with enough water to cover the meat.
02 Add all the remaining ingredients.
03 Bring to the boil and cook on a high heat for 20 minutes.
04 Reduce the heat to medium heat and cook for 30-40 minutes or until the meat is soft and cooked. Serve hot.
