Pancake Day is actually the first the day of Lent, when many Christians give up meat and alcohol for 40 days before Easter. In a way, it has some parallels to the holy month of Ramadan, involving sacrifice and abstinence. In many countries, people celebrate the start of Lent with pancakes, including in the UK

Pancake Day is a time to have fun with the whole family, including the kids. It’s a lot of fun to try and flip pancakes in the pan!

To celebrate Pancake Day, we have combined the great taste of pancakes with a the wholesome goodness of chapattis with our ‘Chapancake’ * recipe. Roll, knead and flip your ‘Chapancakes’ for some messy fun with your kids.
